[New] Julie Frith, Electro, LADD-FRITH
[See wikipedia page on the Psyclones] A grab-bag variety of bite-sized unique electronic tracks, spanning every mood, sound, and style. Some experimental, some pitchfork-weird, some dancey, etc, and many lean industrial/drone/synthpop. The tracknames are pretty descriptive - pick one you like! Almost no bad selections, and each track is pretty interesting in its own way & few no words (ie no fccs). Sparse melodic lines keep many tracks from being truly in-genre as ambient/techno/drone tracks. Many of last ones are simple as if in EPs -- think Aphex Twin's Flim -- and pretty bad.
** 01) 2thebeat (3:26) -- dubby rhythmic percussion oscillates btwn grooves & blasts. Think Sophie's Bipp amount of crazy. BPM 103
* 02) beaterbeat (2:52) -- organ melodics over strange electronic, vaguely Flying Lotus. BPM 106
* 03) FunkE (3:29) -- electro funk(+trance) w/ vocal clips. Better as live mixed. BPM 109
* 04) julie1 (3:10) -- low-passed interlude, almost drone
* 05) jupiter (3:04) -- soothing outerspace electronics. BPM 84
06) londonfog (3:08) -- acid house a la aphex, witchy. BPM 129
* 07) mellowmind (5:33) -- subdued dubby electronic, demented soundtrack. BPM 121
* 08) mellowthump (4:02) -- weird progressive house/trance. BPM 128
* 09) questioning (2:26) -- grand industrial track with epic sweeping synths. BPM 122
* 10) quiktrik (2:36) -- transitory funk dance track. Better as live mixed. BPM 125
11) recordrock (3:27) -- heavy witch-house industrial. BPM 102
* 12) rhythem (2:44) -- ambient circuit shimmers and pulses. BPM 120
13) rockhard supergal (1:55) -- amped & pedalled rock guitars + synth = …?
* 14) rough cut (3:04) -- industrial metal that implodes, dies, and returns from hell. Vocals.
* 15) ryebaby (1:42) -- woah weird: starts housey then devolves into dreamlike synth bubbles. PANNED-avoid with headphones!
* 16) sequentialbeats (3:32) -- let's go with "hyper bubble techno". ends suddenly. BPM 128
17) simplymad1 (1:09) -- piano dissonance. weak
18) slapdance (2:10) -- cute little pop/house-structured electronic melody. weak
19) slymogul_a (3:11) -- industrial x retro. weak
20) slymogul_b (3:03) -- faux hiphop scratchwork. weak, wtf…
* 21) soundtone (2:18) -- distant epic space trance. BPM 100
22) thorus (1:34) -- synth sweeps, sounds like a closer, ends suddenly. BPM 120
