Glyn sings largely in her native Welsh, with its lovely voiceless laterals and soft vowels, with instruments from all over, including appearances by Seckou Keita, the great west African kora player; recognizably Celtic but also delightfully different; Glyn's voice is beautifully intimate; as much pure breath as voice
NO FCC's; Favorite tracks: 1, 3, 4, 7, 11, 13
*1- Tanau – 2:56 – lovely and delicate vocal with through guitar and a type of sitar sound
2—Can y cwn –3:53 – arpeggios underlie pretty Welsh lyrics
**3-Cwlwm-3:47- drums start; song is chant-like; kora comes in; fusion at its exquisite best
*4-Ffair – 3:50 – Welsh version of modal Irish song, “She Moved Through the Fair,” familiar and mysterious at the same time
5- Dig Me A Hole –3:42 – English lyrics; heavy topics beautifully covered; builds to a climax
6- Bratach Shi – 3:01-- quieter, with a lot Welshness; drums in the background like thunder
**7-Far Ago-4:02 – English lyrics sparked by a quote from Joni Mitchell; banjo accompaniment
8 – Y Gnawas – 3:39-- “The Bitch” is a Welsh translation of “Katie Cruel”
9 – Caerdyni—3:36 – banjo chords lead off and continue with Welsh lyrics
*10- What's A Girl to Do? --2:56 – English lyrics cover more dark topics; nice little tune and sentiments
*11—Os na wela'i di –4:29- gorgeous kora underneath Glyn's beautiful voice
12- Dan Dy Draed – 3:40 – has the feel of an English ballad but is in Welsh, so who knows?
**13- Trafaeliais/Kide-magni – 5:24 –medley of Seckou Keita's composed piece and Welsh folk tune; starts with Welsh chant and kora
