Circle Of Loss
(Released by: Amek Collective)
Reviewed by BravoMarco
Angel Simitchiev, the Bulgarian experimental master returns under his Mytrip guise, this time with two new tracks to send shivers down the spine. Rich & atmospheric as always, this release does not disappoint. Both have that film noir quality that Mytrip excels at.
Similar to: Coàgul, Jochan Arbeit & Huan, Deison & Mingle, Hiro Kone
Loving them both – 1) for the night & 2) for daytime play
No FCC’s (Instrumentals)
1) Circle of Loss (6.18) Threatening & severe, this slow moving troublemaker swerves into a brighter dawn towards the static laced conclusion.
2) She Didn’t Drown, She Loved the Sea (5.11) Bouncing rhythms over the bleak interior. The constant beat borders into the realms of ambient electro. The more accessible of the two.
