KZSU faves, former general managers/music directors plod out another golden nugget of noise/krautrock jams, this time with a “Father Tom” adding standup anti-comedy, weird short stories, and spoofs of corporate self-help bizdev seminars. Fuzzed guitars, bass, strange electronics, excellent beats mark their brand of noise rock. Always good, this one great. No FCCs surprisingly out of his worship.
1) (12:04) Father Tom, silly anti-comedy, great noise collage soundbed under a couple of great jokes (“ant-acid”, “my body is cult mass suicide”) 2) (1:56) slow cool noise rock plod, too short sadly 3)* (9:28) definitely a kraut rock tone about the rock here, television recordings of news related to central america, Manuel Noriega, Panama, etc 4) (8:34) drone synth sound then building noise rock, Father Tom appears reading a story about terrible public health service for vampires (?) 5)* (7:50) Father Tom business self help ridiculousness, become a venture capitalist serial killer, cool sinister sound bed
