Review: Balke and his ensemble unite behind Andalusian vocalist Mona Boutchebak to create a fusion of different ethnic music styles and baroque music, backing poetry from different religions set to song. The playing is superb and intriguing throughout and Boutchebak is a versatile singer who appears comfortable in a variety of settings.
If You Like: Anouar Brahem, Bulgarian Women's Chorus, Dino Saluzzi
