Bandcamp tags include: “electronic industrial metal bass breakcore experimental heavy seattle sludge sludgestep”. Very little other info on what I assume is a Seattle artist making incredible sludge, fused with industrial electronics. Primo stuff from last decade that London’s Ambush Records was involved in (drill and bass, see DJ Scud) comes to mind, as well as the heavily layered balm drones of Nadja, but with Black Metal elements. This is fantastic, what seems to be a fresh trend in extreme metal these days, fusing disparate genres. Why I am delving into our Metal submissions more lately.
1)* (4:55) heavy slow electro plod dense with loud tone, buried screamo vocs, but instrumental feel overall, false ending with ~90 sec left, picks up with a way downtempo version of previous, almost a new track, very dense more like Nadja or Sujo 2)* (5:07) begins quiet, atmospheric, spooky, then huge drone bass appears and full blast industrial metal ensues with jungle drill and bass sentiments 3)*** (9:07) just a huge layer of filthy drone noise, like Nadja with the gloves off, buried demonic Death Metal vocs, lovely lovely stuff
