EXPERIMENTAL — NOISE
Local musicians Amy Reed and Collette McCaslin collaborate on very free, improvisational live performances combining electric guitar, cornet & percussion. Someone simply turned on a record device, as each track begins and ends with several seconds of dead air. The smattering of applause sounds like 6 people. I guessed at the track titles; it’s not clear.
No FCC issues.
1 Spoken introduction & applause. Very slow. Triangle starts. Varied percussion & noises for several minutes. Quiet but tense. Cornet enters midway with quick bursts, guitar mostly accompanies though gains presence as things progress. Fade out; quiet; applause. (11:12)
2 Dead air till 0:40. Guitar starts with scratching sounds. Cornet joins. Very slow, somber. Cornet is semi-melodic; guitar is just random. After midway a guitar solo is not bad. Return to randomness. Fade out; quiet; applause. (9:34)
3 Spoken comments. Tuning (I think). Very quiet. VERY slow. Long sustained tones on guitar with chimes. Cornet enters, maintains lead role w guitar ‘comp. Guitar featured more in second half. Fade; quiet; applause. (7:28)
