Review: originally recorded in 1995, contractual barriers prevented this disc from being released until now. Elias was approached for the project by Mike Leigh, who wrote the original music for the production. She recorded with two separate rhythm sections: Eddie Gomez & Jack DeJohnette and Marc Johnson & Satoshi Takeishi with occasional percussion from Manolo Badrena. The compositions swing between Brazilian and Latin jazz and each one is a delight.
