The band’s forte is really solid blues tinged Americana. And that is exactly what we have here: 18 solid blues tinged rock tunes. However, many songs are similar, and they do begin to blur together after a while. This is all from a single recording of an 18 song set the band did at Red Rocks, Colorado.
I like the more distinctive tunes: 1, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13.
Med - applause, horns and trumpet instrumental
med/fast - upbeat, think Blues Brothers, but serious
Med - bluesy Americana with great guitar highlights
Med - really nice blues sax with Americana sound
Med - bluesy Americana, crowd pleaser
slow/med - more melodic blues rock
Med - hard to describe, meandering
Slow - gentle, minimal accompaniment to vocals, nice rhythm
Slow - gentle, minimal accompaniment to vocals, nice rhythm
Med - blues tinged Americana
Slow - psychedelic sound, unique, gets under your skin
Med - classic bluesy rock
Med - bluesy rock
Med - toe tapping blues rock
Med - I wrote nothing about this song - more blues rock?
Med - mainly a cappella **son of a bitch=big fan favorite
Med - special guests Preservation Hall Jazz Band
slow/med - PHJB (see #17) help do Sam Cooke’s classic
