Good traditional bluegrass from this longtime sideman to Ricky Skaggs.
Clay’s voice resembles Chris Jones’ a bit.
1 – (3:17) Cold And Lonely* Fast song of longing, excellent!
2 – (3:10) Someplace In France* Touching WWII song, mid-tempo, nice.
3 – (2:59) All The Time* Good, upbeat love anthem, mid, nicely done.
4 – (2:51) Blue Yodel #2* Fine playing & vocals on this Rodgers song, mid.
5 – (4:51) Next Train To Anywhere Decent, slower tune about wandering, OK.
6 – (3:33) Heat Of The Morning Slower weeper, moody, a bit pokey.
7 – (2:58) Tougher Than The Nails* Nice modal feel to this gospel tune, slow-mid.
8 – (3:26) The Field Behind The Plow Heartfelt farming song, just so-so.
9 – (3:27) Restless* Fine mid-up tempo tune, great playing here.
