Fans of the early Soft Machine, where they used distorted keys and searing guitars and psychedelic elements. This has that but also with elements of post-rock. Mellotron presence only cements the retro 60’s/70’s trip out factors (think Zeppelins more ethereal stuff). Primo stuff, all instrumentals, play any. From their bandcamp: “JP Schlegelmilch (organ/keyboards), Jonathan Goldberger (guitar) and Jim Black (drums) present a 21st-century take on the organ trio in their debut album… “Visitors” charts a course between blurry shoegaze textures, frenetic avant-garde jazz, and drone-heavy psychedelic rock”. New York artists.
1) (4:02) begins slow with guitar, bass enters, soon becomes a pretty epic prog jam, super cool tones, lilting beat 2) (3:32) starts off pretty rocking but soon becomes obtuse, abstract, cool noise guitars, weird keys, and improv drums 3) (5:26) slower more mindful, chill with organ 4)* (5:18) cool analog synth tones up front, but quickly sounds more like accessible mathy timed post rock but evolves into a cool sexy beat with some super psych keyboards, ah the old soft machine! 5) (4:10) becomes quite abstract improv feeling but pulls out with epic toned soaring sythn and lilting waltzing drums 6) (4:13) acoustic guitar strumming, another epic rockin feel with guitar power chords 7) (7:24) 1 min intro is flute/guitar jam, mindful and mathy, quite proggy, then spacey follows with Mellotron providing “strings”, slow mindful trip out 8) (1:10) jazzy vibes feel, brief and composed feel
