Sample art from Portland woman who goes by various monikers including Vektroid. Bandcamp also cites genres as Vaporwave, Chillwave, Hypnagogic pop, but I call it sample art (see also People Like Us, Cassetteboy, Negativland, Steve Reich). Originally released in 2016 this is a strange amalgam of heavily treated Japanese radio and television ads from the 80’s including cheesy AM radio sounding music. Sounds like tape, tape loops, with tape speed manipulations to me. All tracks heavily treated, dominated with a male voice all in Japanese. Double vinyl release – I stopped doing detailed track descriptions after the third or fourth track after realizing they are all similar, as described above, with a few notes and favorites. Great stuff, highly recommended.
