Falha Comum is the second long play by Rio De Janeiro darkwave band Rakta. Falha Comum (Common Fault) continues the band's cavernous and reverberant journey. The trademark elements of the Rakta sound - tribal beats, vocals saturated with reverb effects and distortion, and a bass line full of treble and mids - have become heavily influenced by dub and kraut rock and are sometimes intercepted with found news media sounds a la early pre-industrial. The vocals have been almost entirely traded for groans, murmurs, and intermittent screams. Expansive and agitated. One of my favorite albums of 2019.

2. (3:47) ***Flor da Pele – Medium-up tempo track, vocal driven. Death rock. Classic Rakta.
3. (6:06) ***笑笑 – Medium-up tempo track, synth driven riff. Death rock meets dub. Halfway through track, things get weird – ghostly vocals, sporadic drums beats, bizarre noises.
4. (7:19) ****Fim do Mundo – Slow/medium-up tempo. Part dub, part Kraut. Drums take off at 2:23. Reverberating passage. Killer track.
5. (4:03) *Estrela da Manhã – Medium tempo track, bass driven. A la Siouxsie and the Banshees. Gloomy.
6. (5:51) ***Miragem – Slow/fast tempo. Bass driven. Death rock meets dub. At 1:49, tempo increases. Great track.
7. (3:08) *Ruina – Medium-up tempo. Darker and more muscular than previous recordings.
