Electro re-mixes of crushing black doom metal band The Body. I know, wtf huh?!?! But holy shit is this epic, does it work. On the same level that Kicking a Dead Pig did for Mogwai 22 years ago. This is pretty crazy epic stuff if only because of late theres been refreshing melding of electro and extreme metal, and this is kinda its natural end point, apogee to date. High level stuff thats all experimental, heavy, and electro at the same time. Not too many other bands to “RIYL”, but Al Ard and Emptyset come to mind. Wow.
1) (4:23) starts almost ethereal and twinkly, downtempo and electro pop’ish, such a contrast its harsh, but really its pleasant and “nice”. Weird man... 2)* (5:40) killer driving bass, pensive. 3)* (4:33) probably the darkest song The Body did, a spoken work dark poem, layered in with disturbing crazed analog electronics, then it turns intense bass beat masterpiece 4)* (5:32) cool looped industrial noise feel, about midway a sample of his trademark banshee wail, shit is this disturbing 5)* (5:29) cool beat, vocals sound female and almost “normal”, weird with “rapping”.
