Review: Multi-instrumentalist Shola follows her excellent album Possible from earlier this year with Drift, another volume of songs created for the purpose of healing, comfort, and motivation. Much of it falls somewhere in the ballpark of trip-hop and future soul, with heavy, soothing bass, dubby effects, and highly encouraging lyrics. - Paul Simpson, WCBN

Track Review (favorites denoted by *):
**1/ Grounding – cello starts> slow song about grounding yourself while pulling energy from above> swings to midtempo like an electronic tribal dance with call & response
*2/ Take It Easy – synth starts> a slow mantra of comfort with echoing lyrics slowly builds in tempo> synth/percussion duet> midtempo song> slow fade
3/ Hibernation – synth starts hesitatingly> slow quiet song about withdrawing to replenish yourself builds to midtempo> slow fade
*4/ Ancient Cry – bells/synth start> slow celestial choral morphs into midtempo song about finding balance in life> fade
5/ No Worry – synth starts> midtempo song about settling into a bubble of music and letting your cares slip away> synth solo to fade
6/ True Déjà Vu – synth starts deep & slow> Ancient Cry in reverse> fade
7/ Surrender – vocal & synth start in pulses> slow song about letting it all go moves in slow waves> slow fade
8/ Compass – ethereal synth with beats starts> shifting instrumental tempos about centering on your spirit guide> fade
*9/ Wishes – synth with gong-like sounds starts> midtempo instrumental with reverberating chant like an electronic tribal ritual, about a yearning for childhood memories> slow fade
**10/ Enough – synth/vocals start> midtempo song with soaring vocals about accepting yourself as you are swings to uptempo, then slows to midtempo again>> slow fade
**11/ Movements – Rhodes starts hesitatingly> shifting tempos with intermittent vocals intended to have the listener let go & move> slow fade
*12/ Destination Unknown – Rhodoues starts> uptempo instrumental with swirling vocals about following your passion and confronting uncertainty at different turns> slow fade
*13/ Recoverie – synth starts slow with celestial choral> slow song about recovering from the santa Rosa fire, in which she lost all her instruments & music> slow fade
*14/ Flow – synth/vocal starts> slow song comes in waves, about syncing into the flow of nature> fade
