“Murder Van are a thrashy death metal band out of Atlanta who unleash raw sonic hatred. Every track on their eponymous debut is a lesson in violence.”(Metalinjection). Yeah, bout sums it up. Old school feel in the composition, themes. Recordings have live elements, lack slick production (e.g. they keep the 1-2-3-4 drum cues and the low hz kick drum head feedback) but still high quality. From Atlanta GA (another heavy band to crawl out of the woods that inspired Deliverance).
1) FCC in the live self introduction (fucking), not that noticeable, fine for safe harbor, good death metal chugging along old school manner 2) (3:38) doomy feel 3)* (5:16) upbeat thrashing hardcore, killer 4) (3:50) upbeat and rockin, funny but the vocals and delivery remind me a bit of Metallica 5)* (4:47) good doomy licks and tones, still chugging straight ahead though, “Green River” – I assume this is about that fuckhead serial killer who included Mia Zapata in his collection 6) (3:56) more of a midpaced tritonedoom rock feel to start, then it picks up rockin 7)* (4:12) triplet gallop evil – break – then a head nodding gallop, then back 8) (5:01) intense double picked thrash metal, multifaceted
