Review: Just in time for Black History Month (February) comes this ambitious work arranged by bassist McBride, integrating blues, jazz, gospel, & spoken word to tell the story of the black power movement in the ‘60s. A lot of what is spoken about here is still a problem today.
If You Like: Charles Mingus, Gil Scott Heron, Miles Davis’ “On the Corner”
