Dom Leone was an original member of Ed's Redeeming Qualities, and an original. A kindly singer/songwriter. He died a while back. ERQ did great indie folk/pop and this is the same. Listen and play this, and then some of the originals, make yer listeners cry.
1. minor key, acoustic guitar, quiet slide guitar in background, electric band comes in gently
2. starts acoustic gets big & loud, catchy
3. fem vox, lots of steel guitar
4. banjo
5. spoken word interlude- Dom tells a story
6. country, not enough life
7. steel drums in the interlude! Just a bit long
8. simple bedroom recording
9. Done by Carrie from the original band, her new band is more straght-ahead rock. This reminds me of the "Aqualab 2021" theme song.
10.simple song gets a little orchestra at end
11.harmonzied male vox, harmonium? guitars
12.spoken intro, song part too earnest
13.lo-fi trip hop beat
14.closet kareoke
15.woodwinds & trumpet, fun, Brooklyn fem vox
16.vocals too sad sounding for this song
17.lots of echo, nice
18.brief thought
19.painfully uncharming
20.Sounds just like a Virginia Dare song
21.funny/fake sad (sebadoh parody?)
22.good complexity
23.melodic, clean guitars
24.too slow but it's good and brief
25.another tree story- goes into next track
26.old recordinng, has some charm, trumpet w/mute
27.nice m/f harmonized vox, full band
