This EP from Atlanta trio (formerly Plexorjet) contains mostly instrumentals. Indie guitar sound + 70s prog rock + moog/synth sounds. A touch of emo, whatever that might mean. Think of the rhythms and repetitiveness of Ganger or Dianogah combined with an aesthetic of indie-meets-prog mini-epics. At their best, moments even remind one of Polvo or Blonde Redhead “futurism vs. passeism part 2.” A good listen but not an outstanding one, Rizzudo will still hit the spot on those days when you don’t know what you want. 5, 1, 6, 3.

1. hard & pretty instrumental. guitar with moog ray-gun sounds. frequent tempo switches, thus vaguely like dianogah. fades out…
2. starts with prog rock synth organ, kind of silly. very much like the early ganger album fore, ie repetition + prog rock + kraut + indie guitar. male vox comes in halfway through. has moments, esp. last half.
3. indie guitar instrumental with prog rock harmonies. decent.
4. prog instrumental led by organ. think js bach as indie rocker.
5. guitar instrumental with moog ray-gun sounds. very decent track!
6. indie prog-rockers writing a mini-epic. several tempo changes. yelling male vox midway through. be patient, it’ll get there.
7. another organ led song. distorted spoken voice comes in midway. has an epic prog rock aura about it, but cuts itself off short at 1:53.
