Sparse folk from male singer/songwriter with emphasis on vocals, acoustic guitar. Reminds me of combination of Ry Cooder and Townes Van Zandt. Among the slow, sad stuff, try tracks 2,3,10. There are some peppier songs here, too, if that's your thing (recommend tracks 8,9).
1 - sparse, almost empty, slow, dark, with prominent very foreground vocals and ominous rising background sound
2 - pretty female backing vocals in chorus, slow, has more of a beat
3 - piano with those foreground vocals again, sad but catchy chorus
4 - louder guitar, distorted loud backing vocals, repetitive beat
5 - duet with female and male vocals, soft guitar
6 - slow and mournful
7 - very slow, drawn-out vocals and guitar
8 - lighter with an almost foot-stomping soft beat
9 - country feel, clappy beat
10 - sad, slow, with piano and violin
