EP of pleasant acoustic rock with competency displayed everywhere, excellence elusive throughout. Still, for a couple of minutes, any of these slow-mid-tempo to fast-mid-tempo tracks are good company – soft but firm accompaniment, nice singing, reasonable melodies, harmonies, arrangements, and song development. It’s got an L.A.-by-way-of-the-heartland politeness and earnestness and that can’t be faulted too seriously. Track 4 has a “fuck” in the lyrics. Track 5 expires at 13:10 remaining and revives at 8:45 remaining with a tune that’s a bit more edgy/gothy than the rest of the album. I’d recommend this track for something a bit different but they’re all OK.
