(Mostly) Acoustic solo guitar interpretations of Masada classics from 3 of Zorn’s frequent collaborators over the years. Each of the guitarists styles are immediately apparent in their tracks here: Frisell plays with a relaxed, thoughtful down home feel, carefully picking and choosing each note. Sparks has a more European flair for a much busier and fuller flamenco or gypsy style sound. Ribot has a distinctive style, mixing old and new sounds in an angular unique fashion. All the tracks are excellent - the liner notes have the guitarist credit so pick your favorite and play this!
