Soulful folk tunes, contemporary world collaborations, reflections of middle eastern influences, this pretty much has a bit of everything. A who’s who of Greek artists past and present and a nice sampling of the sounds of Hellas. Typically informative notes
*1. Midtempo folk-based w/great female vocalist.
2. Strings/male vox/chorus. Swaying w/a modern folk sound.
*3. Delicate female vox. Warm & catchy.
*4. The Greek superstar. A dark song of lost love.
*5. Warm & lyrical female vocalist backed by strings. Nice.
6. Greek folk updated w/a flamenco/rumba beat. It’s OK.
7. Soulful folk w/passionate female vox. & lush strings.
8. Male vocals and strings in a mid-tempo ballad.
9. There’s an Arabic feel to this. Lively strings & fem vox.
10. Sweet vocal duet w/a gentle bounce.
