GREAT tribute to MEXICAN BORDER RADIO STATIONS
Various artists cover tunes they heard growing up listening to the AM border stations. I grew up on the East Coast and it was such a treat when the atmosphere was just right and the AM signal bounced a couple times so that I could listen to that exotic sound from out of the Southwest.
***1: 3: 15 male vocal mid to fast with brass, country/rock in English
**2: 3:03 fast male vocal in Spanish, Great for a World Music show.
****3: 3:59 " Talk To Me" Delbert McClinton male vocal, nice sax.
***4: 2:31 cool rock cover
***5: 2:29 fast Bob Wills tune by Lyle Lovett.
**6: 2:59 Bobby Fuller Four cover
7: 2:06 Rodney Crowell covering Buddy Holly tune, slow to mid
*8: 4:18 low intro., male vocal, nice sax solo
***9: 2:41 great #, male vocal in Spanish
***10: 3:07 Border electric Blues, Great guitar, male vocal
***11: 4:05 cover of ZZ Top's" Heard it on the X"
***12: 2: 48 Blues by Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown D Farrell 06/2005
