Energetic, instrumental prog-rock & avant-jazz from this North Carolina trio. Technical yet playful. Filled with unpredictable changes around every corner.
Think: Ruins, Cheval Du Frise or Magma. Very nice stuff.
((((1)))) Twangy, playful & chock full of odd time changes.
((((2)))) Speed-prog? Complex, bass, drum & guitar work all over.
((((3)))) Bassy, excellent drumming & fast all over. Could it be…”math mosh”?
((((4)))) Excellent jazz-y drumming, like a really stretched out instrumental version of ’74-era Yes.
(((5))) Technical as hell, a bit too ‘busy’.
((6)) Redundant and often ‘samey’ changes.
(((7))) Nice bass sound, confusing to follow along with but worth the ride.
((((8)))) Techno-bass effect by way of some Tex Avery cartoon on meth.
((((9)))) Restrained, minimal, jazzy & relaxed but not fern-bar ‘mellow’.
(((((10))))) 1972-74 prog to effect to the max! Perfect!
((((11)))) Jumpy, bouncy, silly but fun.
(((12))) Roundabount, swirling, coasting feeling.
(((13))) Improv-ish, random chords & interplay that jumps in & out of its center.
((((14)))) Lots of loose strumming, scattered drumming bits that sound more complex than they may appear.
