Jodi Jett "Revelations" – Female singer song-writer with sounds that range from slower western twang to more rock. Vocals are sultry and sexy. Her voice reminds me a little of Natalie Merchant. Well produced (possibly looking for a larger, more commercial audience). The whole album is pretty laid-back and you can imagine listening to this on a hot summer night while you kick up your cowboy boots and sweat. Fcc: 6, 9

1)Simple strumming guitar and sexy, sultry vocals with some reverb. Lyrics are pretty funny about how great she is. Dragging midtempo. Hot, dirty, and sweaty feel.
2)Slow midtempo song about people having meaningless hook-ups. Nice laid-back swagger to the song.
3)Slow dragging midtempo. Nice ballad with a slight country/western feel to it. Vocals are sexy and smoky.
4)Solid midtempo with a more rock feel. Lyrics are mostly a free association of '80s pop culture.
5)Slower midtempo with a sultry feel. Nice vibrato on the guitars. Sexy vocals with some desperation.
6)Laid-back midtempo with a more country feel. Brushed drums and twangy guitar. Song lamenting the fact that she wanted love and ended up with a loser. Fcc: says “shit”
7)Starts with simple guitar fingering. Intimate soft vocals. Some strings in the background (cello maybe). Sweet song about a baby. Simple and cute.
8)Midtempo with a harder rock feel. Fuzzed out guitars and fun organ. Lyrics are kind of funny about a sleazy greasy guy.
9)Solid midtempo with a heavy pounding bass line. Organ in the background. Fcc: says “shit”
10)Soft guitar and soft vocals start it off. Instruments build and it falls into a laid-back midtempo song with a bit of a western twang.
