World/North African Beat Driven.
Remixes of the La Kahena album. Sounds like what you would expect of Cheb I Sabbah. All vocals Arabic, except (11) is Hebrew.
(5),(7) are so bad it’s good. Generally more traditional arrangements sound better (1),(4),(10).
** (1) Fast. Male-Female call-response.
(2) Midtempo. Male vocals. Moroccan Hip Hop!
(3) Hmm, traditional mixed with electro synth sounds.
**(4) Midtempo oud, darbuka, male/female vocals.
**(5) Uptempo. Very EuroMed trashy. Lots of synth and a great beat.
(6) Uptempo. Male vocals. Starts traditional then mixed with drum machine.
**(7) Fast. Again, the worst kind of Eurodance mixed with Arabic music, if you like that sort of thing.
(8) Midtempo. Slower remix of track 1.
(9) Midtempo. Long.
**(10) Mid-fast tempo. Male vocals.
**(11) Chill to midtempo, female vocals, good beat.
