Contemporary classical music, many tracks with world influences. Lots of dissonance, very cool instrumentation - flute oboe guitar cello mandolin banjo violin. Most tracks end up to 10 seconds early. Fantastic CD! FCC clean. Favs 3, 11, 12.
1. Dissonant and rockin’.
2. Dissonant fluttering and sliding.
*3. Weird syncopation! YEAH.
4. Woosy.
5. Slow and sparse. String drone. Guitar is the main active instrument.
6. Weird plucking and very fast repeated notes. Annoying in a good way.
7-10. A more romantic-sounding piece – less dissonant. Sorta new age.
7. Slow full and rich.
8. Slower. Good climax at 1:30 left.
9. Cool flute intro – going out of tune and pitch bending.
10. Cool plucking. Alternates between lush romantic sound and out-of-tune freakouts.
*11. Oddly trance-inducing syncopations. Dissonant. Awesome banjo!!
*12. Most “difficult listening” piece on the disc, but once you get into it it’s a masterpiece. Disjunct.
