Composer/melodeon player Tesi & company perform a wonderful mélange world music & Italian folk influences in fresh, original compositions. The band includes vocals, guitar, sax, vibes & percussion. Guest artists on piano, bass, mandolin, tabla & other instruments. Really good stuff. Very world-buffet like, with appetizers from Ireland, India, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
*1. Midtempo, catchy, a folksy charmer.
*2. Upbeat instrumental w/hints of Ireland. Cool tabla too.
3. Downtempo, elec piano, vox, a sweeping nostalgic sound.
4. A happy, toe-tapping instrumental w/solid work from all.
*5. Slow w/delicate fem vox. Really beautiful & sad.
6. Fun, fast instr w/vibes/mouth harp. Twangy-good w/hint of jazz.
7. Sweet and romantic with an old-fashioned sound. Like old roses.
8. Short instrumental soprano/alto sax duet. Slow & halting.
*9. Upbeat instr w/cool tabla/perc/sax/etc. Part India, part Ireland.
*10. Relaxed, quirky carnival-esque instrumental. A bit dark, a bit not.
11. Programming, upbeat electronic w/chorus. Busy, fast, debatable.
12. Upbeat remixed Italian folk dance. A fun, rather jazzy groove.
