NYC based Brazilian group playing Forro ( fo ho). Think Brazilian Polka, Rhythm & dance from the Northeast of Brazil. They play a lot of music of the king of forro, Luis Gonzaga. David Byrne on two tracks, Bebel Gilberto on one and Smokey & Miho from the former Cibo Matto. They play every Wednesday at Nublu in NYC starting at 11:30 PM.
1: 2:50 fast fast rhythm, fast fast flute, cool guitar, spaghetti western chase scene music, imagine dancing to this.
2: 4: 43 mid tmpo, cool rhythm, hint of spaghetti western sound, cool flute.
3: 3:29 faster percussion + triangle, vocal by David Byrne in English, male chorus in Portuguese.
4: 2:57 mid tempo flute romp, mellow instrumental
5: 4:12 fem humming intro., the lush velvet voice of Bebel Gilberto, mid tempo.
