One of the most tastefully done mix CD’s we’ve received in a long time. Minimal electro mix CD from Stephan Bodzin of the Systematic crew…and most of the individual tracks are productions from Systematic’s own catalogue. Watch out for the FCC smack in the middle of the mix, though.
Best tracks: 2, 3, 10, 11
Track 1: Nice warmup tune courtesy of John Dahlback
*Track 2: Dark and grooving bassline on this one
*Track 3: Great Booka Shade production with soulful spoken word vox
Track 4: Classic Systematic sound – minimal but dramatic at the same time
Track 5: FCC! Gratuitous swearing on this one, and pretty dumb if you ask me
Track 6: Phonique doesn’t disappoint
Track 7: John Dahlback is an acquired taste, personally I find his stuff hit or miss
Track 8: FANTASTIC creation from the twisted minds of Romboy & Baxter
Track 9: Great music spoiled by the vocal. FYI Hugg & Pepp = the two Dahlbacks (Jesper & John)
*Track 10: The Romboy & Baxter tunes are the some of the strongest on this album
*Track 11: A little bit lighter journey into tech house. Nice!
Track 12: Quality filler
Track 13: More Dahlback, see previous note
Track 14: Zoo Brazil is an amazing producer but he’s done better.
Track 15: Great Romboy tune
Track 16: Now we’re getting good & crazy, can you imagine this in the proper setting?
