Big & burly sounding, garage/punk n’ roll from Seattle. All the fuzz & feedback left in while it’s still very catchy & melodic. While this stuff has been done a million times before – there’s certain bands that know how to make this sound fresh and this is one of ‘em. Good stuff that would go over even better live. Play with: New Bomb Turks, Lazy Cowgirls, Easy Action, Laughin’ Hyenas.
(((((1))))) Wailing guitars, a real urgent sound crossing a mean version of the early Stones and MC5.
((((2)))) 4 chord, rudimentary rave-up rocker.
((((3)))) Dirty guitar sound, so-so chorus but otherwise excellent.
(((((4))))) Nice beat, uppity and outta control, “wild about you” number.
(((((5))))) Nasty guitar tone, fast at a hardcore tempo.
(((6)))) Tons of guitar fuzz and snarlin’ vocals. Cool lyrics about “every day someone’s tryin to sell me a piece of crap I don’t need.”
(((7))) Woosy, typical but pretty kickin’ garage rawk.
(((8))) Punky, fast with odd metered vocals. Guitars are playing “speed jangle” chords.
((((9)))) Mid-paced, thick riff and hard hitting vocal attack. Very much to the point and pissed off.
((((10))) Jangly, twangy & swaggery as hell.
((((((11))))) To paraphrase the Cramps: “Evil rock n’ roll the kind that don’t save souls…”
(((12))) Straight-up early 60’s strummy ballad but also a tad up tempo. Sounds like something Richard Hell might’ve done early on.
((((13)))) References “Stepping Stone” by the Monkees but it’s much more dirty & raw. Nice mix of riffs, harmonic and vocals with a lot of attitude.
((((14)))) Slow, burning and both ends, “I’m so far gooone, baby” vibe. Repetitive but it kinda works
