Probably the weirdest in the Croatian “DJ Zdena” series. While there’s the usual dub, reggae and even garage rock there’s also lots of classic soul, jazz, rock R&B and blues records with some Croatian guys either singing over them or talking back to them.
((((1)))) “Green Onions” with some nice reverb-y Croatian vocals.
((((2)))) Early Jamacian ska or Afro-funk piece with more Croatian vocals.
(((3))) Laid back original funky from the Dalmatian coast.
(((4))) Screwy re-working of an old Adrian Sherwood (African Headcharge) number.
(((5))) Bouncy beats, dub-throb all over.
((6)) Disjointed garage rock/echo thang that sounds better on better. Too demented to really work.
((7)) Minimal generic dub/reggae.
(((8))) Semi-spacey, fast tempo rockin’ break beats.
(((9))) Super-distorted rawk like early Jesus & Mary Chain except with zero pop leanings.
((10)) Random bland, muddled dub or Afro-beat record?
((((11)))) Drunken, stumbling guy in Zargeb apartment talks to his John Lee Hooker LP. WTF?!?
(((12))) Decent mix of hip-hop breaks/beats and some general reggae/dub vibe.
(((13))) Jazzy, groovy 60ish rock with distorted Croatian vox.
(((14))) Lo-fi guitar fuzz n’ noise, painful but sorta amusing.
((15)) Like an early ska or surf records slow down and skipping for all eternity.
((16)) Minimalist funk that needs a better beat.
(((17))) Demented rock n’ roll n’ break beats.
((18)) Kinda wild jazz that some dude sings over. Sounded like a good idea originally.
