Rockin’ rock-n-roll, dirty, loose, and loud. Male vox (though band is 1/3rd female), guitars/drums/bass (generally more than one of each), keyboards listed but I haven’t heard them yet… A large and rotating ensemble tears it up. Parties at Rickety House are bangin’ and full of great and forgotten 70’s platters on the stereo, which informs the sound, and this is the sort of band right at home playing a party in the basement.
(disclaimer: I’ve had a Dirty Faces t-shirt for years- without knowing who was in the band. While I recognize friends and acquaintances in the thank-you’s, I’m still not sure if I know anyone in the band itself- a couple people in the photos look familiar...)
+1.Harsh vocals, mid-fast, guitars get more insistent. short & potent song
+2.minor key driven grit
3.dissonant to point of near-math
4.Mellower track, attitude of tellin’ it like it is. A bit long.
5.mid-fast, rough vox, rhythm organ under the guitars
+6.fast. some regional references.
+7.mid-slow, hint of menace, blues
8.talkin’ smack. Some weird chord changes
+9.bluesy with piano, yeah!
+10.bluesy, “hey wise up” song, gets under your skin
(11.silence, do not play, just a spacer)
12. reprise of 6, mostly instrumental, false ending about 3:30 into it
