COLISEUM - "No Salvation" CD (Relapse)
Fast and heavy punk hardcore but it's heavy enough and fast enough that is borders on grindcore. Gruff vocals you can understand. Great production where you can hear everything going on and a steamroller of a heavy rock-n-roll sound. A little bit of MOTORHEAD a little bit of VENOMOUS CONCEPT, and POISON IDEA. From Louisville, KY.
1. FCC. A flurry guitar, bass, and drums. This track rips. Too bad about the one fuck.
**2. Not as heavy or fast but a good punk hardcore sound.
**3. Medium paced pummeling beginning. More melodic and catchy.
4. Short fast and thrashing hardcore.
5. Slower, darker, more discordant.
6. Short slow and somehow odd.
7. FCC. Doom-y intro. Slow. Eventually turns into a medium paced rocker.
8. Slow intro, straight ahead rocker.
**9. FCC (one fuck). Great, more chaotic track.
10. Rock-n-roll guitar intro and a more rock-n-roll track. AC/DC(??) leaning.
11. Galloping medium paced punk track with a guitar solo.
12. One of the few tracks with a breakdown. Somewhat of a guitar solo.
**13. Faster metal track! Holy shit! Headbanging fun. I hear a little ANTRHAX. The track does slow down.
Great stuff! -mph
