Extremely creative, rich & organic electronica reminiscent of a low-key, latin Bjork, featuring pulsing organic polyrhythms, some acoustic guitar and super sensual Argentinean vocalist Juana Molina. This album has a lot more rhythmic elements then Molina’s past work…a lot of polyrhythmic vocalizations & hand claps layered over deep rhythms that seem to envelop the whole song. According to liner notes the guitarist who plays on this album is from Vashti Bunyan’s band. Start with starred tracks and if you like this album definitely checkout Molina’s albums Son or Tres Cosas for a more mellow experience.
FCC Clean
** 1) Singing over a building polyrhythmic arrangement of various sounds and vocalizations.
** 2) Effects heavy vocals with rich percussion sounds including voices / handclaps
3) Almost 8 mins long darker song with whispered/hushed vocals, some steel drums, ends a little more upbeat with handclapping and acoustic guitar
4) Almost 8 mins Lots of percussive singing, with some scatting
5) Acoustic guitar and vocals that bleed into electronic soundscape with lots of rhythmic vocalization
** 6) Acoustic guitar with plenty of electronic sounds and polyrhythmic vocals layered on top of deep percussive rhythms
7) Ambient vocals that evolve into more coherent polyrhythmic
8) More scatting with ambient vocals
