Album Review
Your Imaginary Friend

Overall dreamlike, ambient, beautiful and lush. Some tracks long, go take a dump-worthy, others very radio friendly. Acoustic instruments but no shortage of treatments, echoes, sustains. Almost all instrumental with the exception of a buried woman’s voice being used as an instrument on one or two tracks (no lyrics). Really lovely stuff, as fine as can be, in a dreamlike, narco, hypno sense. Would be perfect at Terrastock or in one of the few dreams that Brick has that doesn’t involve roller skating or pole dancing with not just one, but two women on the same pole (I swear on my mothers grave I saw this. It was cool. Not sure who was sexier, Brick or his two sex kitten friends).
1) beautiful guitars and instrumentation, somber and lovel
2) something epic about this, like you expect Nick Drake to take the mic and slay you, but the somber lovely music does it alone, dreamlike, almost droney and ambient
3) subliminal female voices makes this hypnotic
4) slow dreamy and the flute takes on the chore of soothing your aching mind, almost ambient
5) rather disturbing echoes, pensive guitar playing but then it gives way to dreamy ambience
6) bit of a hillbilly feel to this, probably cuz of banjo
7) very long pretty, beautiful, swirling palate of lovely flute, treatments, worth all 27 minutes
8) layers of hypnotism, just beautiful.
