3-1 – 13 Horrible Remixes
Reviewed by Enzo 3/26/10
The main genre is electro but there is also some bits of electropunk, pistolpop, rock, balkan, techno and dubstep in several tracks. Beats and rhythms are driven and well produced but for the most part vocals and melodies totally reflect what they mean by the album’s name. 3-1 definitely intended to release “13 horrible remixes”. Try 13
1) Uptempo, female vocal samples, groovy and aggressive, heavy distorted bass. 2) Uptempo, annoying female vocals, popsy synths, kinda cheesy. 3) Up tempo, guitar samples, vocals, another popsy track but has more identity. 4) Uptempo, male rapping, dirty bass, dancy. 5) Uptempo, distorted guitars, workout and electro cheese eurostyle dance beat sound like. 6) Uptempo, kinda percussive with flute sounds and male perverted lyrics, dirty bass. 7) Uptempo, catchy and dance-y, distortion occurs in vocals and bass. 8) Uptempo electro cheesy beat with annoying female vocals that don’t blend together well with beats. 9) Uptempo, the king of the cheese well put together. 10) Fastest tempo, disastrously awkward in the dance/poprock fusion, repetitive. 11) Downtempo, weird dupsted beat with corny chords and bass melodies. 12) Midtempo, descent beat with lame girly male vocals. 13) Killer driven house beat, best of the album by far.
