Spacey Pop-rock with a bit of garage mixed in for good measure. Spanish lyrics. Sounds a bit like Zoé or Mexican Institute of Sound, and at times, like surf music. The vocals are always the focus in the songs. Feels like what you’d listen to while stoned, on a sunny day lying on the grass. Most songs sound exactly the same, except the vocalist changes throughout the record. Most songs end with 6-4s of silence. FCC Clean. Try 4, 9, 10, 13.
1. Mid tempo. Steady beat. Echo-y vocals. Heavy use of bass.
2. Slower, again echo-y vocals. Sounds like something you’d listen to while smoking a joint.
3. More up-beat than the rest of the album. Very spacey. Bluesy guitar. Ends with a guitar solo and distorted vocals.
*4. The single. Slow steady beat, spacey feeling. The chorus is sweet and bubblegum-ish.
5. Rhythm guitar carries the song. Again, the chorus is bubblegum sweet, with an instrument that sounds like a mandolin. Uses distorted vocals again.
6. Mid tempo. Vocals are fed through a synth or something, sound more distorted than usual. Has an Americana feel, with country guitar. Uses sound effects, like bubbling water.
7. Has a synth in the background that sounds like something from a 60’s TV program. Slow, with spacey lyrics in the middle and a whole minute of fade out.
8. Alternates between basically 2 chords on all instruments. Psychedelic sound effects. Very spacey and stoned sound.
*9. The vocals are pleading, the song slow and soothing. Tambourine, trumpet and other instruments in the background give it a fun and unexpected feel. Heavy bass line again.
*10. More earthy, with spacey synth in the background and percussion instruments at the beginning of phrases.
11. Slow, bubblegum stoner music.
12. Mid-tempo. Vocals are very spacey, and the synth has a cool line to it throughout the song.
*13. Opens with the bass, then the synth, comes in, and finally the guitar. Brooding feeling, much darker than the rest of the album. Slow and spacey.
14. Feels like the theme song from a kids program. Something sounds like a ukulele in the instrumentation, and it even has the “Woohoohoo!” vocals in the background.
15. Instrumental psychedelic song.
