Art-electronica, pleasant and sweet without being all that experimental. Some nice slow tracks and some funky dance beats. This album was made as an emotional testament to Gonzales’ wife, Devyn. FCC CLEAN. Try 1, 6, 8, 10, or 13.
1. Meditative. Slow with glock and dubbed beatboxing. Syncopated icicles falling. 2. Bleeps-and-blips shuffle. Peppy. Dance rhythm without bass. 3. You are traveling around a large, futuristic kitchen humming with appliances. 4. Meditative, but uptempo. Maracas, bass chords. Doesn’t pick up. 5. Dark but fun, uptempo, with something vaguely like cymbals. Star Trek Voyager joins Garden State and they visit a fortune teller. 6. Funky discordant piano. Danceable beat, alien blips. Dark. 7. Slower beat, fuzz, melodic guitar riffing, blips. 8. Uptempo funky beat, squishy noises, cosmic dance party. 9. Dark, meditative, with cool trashcan drumming in the background. Doesn’t change much. 10. Acoustic, then vaguely Postal Service. Deep bass with blips. 11. Alien bass distortion, Daft Punky. Heavy beat with high chords. Sweet, somehow. 12. Bass, claps, riff. Nice for walking in a city at night. 13. Sad, woodblock beat, vaguely biblical feel. Strange fast drums in the background.
