Local (SF) band doing a solid mix of modern Metal and heavy-ass noise rawk. Rumbly bass, shouted rough vocals and tight rhythms. Not far from Unsane, Today is the Day, mid-eraNeurosis, & a bit of Jesus Lizard. The band’s named after a really rough part of Hong Kong that’s inhabited by crime.
((((1)))) Big muscular riffage & bass, pulls back a bit but not then the vocals come in and make it kinda harsh.
(((((2))))) Lots of repetitive riffs but in the best way possible. Locks you in and doesn’t give up.
((((3)))) Big opening riff, slow spirals that come off like a sludgy Jesus Lizard
((((4)))) Slow & moody intro then punishing riffs slow come crashing down but still very catchy. Whole lotta feedback near the end.
((((5)))) Loose & twangy intro, rumbly bass, andt thunderous ending.
(((6))) Mellow intro the thick riff & constantly forward movement. Great interplay between bass/drums & guitar. Plus excellent use of using very few notes to get a lot out of the song
((((7)))) Somewhat angular tempo and shouted vocals. Plenty more rumbly bass. REALLY good break/solo part at 3:36.
((((8)))) Calculated, patient with short bursts of heaviness vs. srestraint. There’s an old Melvins riff toss in here (probably unintentionally) around 3:45.
