Phenomenal not-exactly-electronic pop with a wide array of intricate compositions. Lots of loops but relatively little processing. Everything's elaborate and carefully orchestrated yet ultimately strikingly simple. All tracks are excellent. RIYL Yeasayer. FCC clean; start with 1, 3 –Andy
*1 - horse sounds and manipulated staccato guitar into a lively mystic chant that could have come from the first Yeasayer album
2 - nervous, bassy loops under a National-type low vocal line
*3 - gorgeous, spacey, with drawn-out vocals, starts to sound like pop-era R.E.M. at end
*4 - lush, contemplative midtempo pop, Smiths vocals
*5 - fun, rhythmic w/ bassy guitar riffs, shrill synth
6 - 90s-indie-rock brooding e. guitar riffs and vox
7 - mellow dusk tune; Mark Kozelek riff, slow and tender vocals
*8 - long guitar fade-in to upbeat, jangly modern rock
9 - long, ambient, spacey, with lots of synth, pickup at 3:00 in, long insect-noisy outro
