Very nice Folk/Rock duets from members of Belle & Sebastain (Campbell) & Screaming Trees (Lanegan).
((((1))))) (FCC “Fucked it up” sung once) nice slow acoustic ballad. Similar to Sonic Youth’s cover of the Carpenters “Superstar”.
(((2))) Loose, jangly, dusty Americana rock.
((((3)))) Bright acoustic chords, nice dual vocals & a bit of twang.
(((((4))))) Old-styled, 60’s balladry not far from Lee Hazelwood & Nancy Sinatra. Slow “doo-doo-Deet!” tempo.
(((5))) Simple folk ballad with slow & hazy vocals. Sounds very late 60’s/early 70’s.
((((6)))) Twangy rock with Lanegan’s smoky voice & a solid drum & guitar sound.
((((((7))))))) Excellent early 70’s folk-pop, not a cover of the Zombies hit but again invokes Lee & Nancy.
((8)) Chaotic sax & guitar blasting interlude. Not sure why this is even on the album.
(((((9))))) Very pretty ballad led by Campbell.
((((10)) More balladry very much like Mazzy Star (right down to the vocals) & Mojave 3.
((((11)))) Simple acoustic duet, very mellow & nice.
((((12))))) 60’s style Irish folk with excellent dueting vocals & accordion in the background.
((((13)))) Acoustic folk with gospel-ish backing. Works really well with Lanegan’s voice.
