Musical accompaniment to Esopus Magazine's 15th issue, about television. Songs inspired by tv shows. Weirdo music for weird people, most of it awesome. Lyrics can be found here: http://www.esopusmag.com/files/ESOPUS_15_SONG_LYRICS.pdf
FCC on track 6. --Eme O.
* 1) Jaunty. Synthy. (Inspired by Meerkat Manor)
* 2) Blluesy, ukulele-featuring tune featuring a woman telling off her two-timing daddy. (Cheaters)
* 3) Drums, synths, questions about everything you ever wanted to know (Mythbusters)
* 4) Acoustic guitar, folksy trail song (Democracy Now)
5) Indie rock, buzzy male vox (The Golden Girls)
* 6) FCC ("Shit") at 0:50. Harmonica, country guitar, theremin-like sounds in the background, (M*A*S*H)
* 7) Pretty. Choral verses: bass tones, foreground voices singing lyrics, background voices singing "ay yi yi yi yi." Chorus line "Oh, good night my little Viking." (The Adventures of Pete and Pete)
8) Synthy. Vox are layered, with echoey effect and harmony. Sounds 80s in some parts and modern in others. (Degrassi: The Next Genration)
* 9) Solo voice and echoing clapping sound, soon met by a guitar fading into prominence. Disconcerting, like different songs played simultaneously. Ends with a one-voice chorus. (Blackadder II)
* (10) Spoken word piece accompanied by theremin begins and ends the piece. Between, other voices and instruments butt in. Clips play over each other, different voices reading different
monologues about the same guy. Like the soundscape for a modern dance piece. (The Jackie Gleason Show)
