Riffy, caustic and real-deal, Black/Death Metal from Edmonton, Canada. Lots of interesting things at play: melodic traditional and technical, Heavy/Thrash Metal sections, very tight rhythms/riffs, call & response vocals (more left field than the typical Thrash “gang choruses”). To top it off, this band started in Bangladesh which has a strong influence on their anti-Islamic/pro-Satanic (and pro-Kali) lyrics – none of which is a pose. No corpse paint, no irony, no fun, no trend, and probably NOT for you! But really, don’t be a wimp – fuckin’ PLAY IT!
((((1)))) Nice instrumental opener, acoustic intro, then slow electric wailing & thrashing that hearkens back to everything from (early) Megadeth to Bathory.
((((2)))) Mid-paced and big riffy sound. Great drumming, killer call & response vocals. Gets speedy at 2:45 and lays down a nice solo.
(((((3))))) Worship....Kali! Rippin’ & riffy that comes off like a mid-paced Morbid Angel but with even more wild unpredictability (again due to the backing vocals and drum/guitar accents).
(((((((4)))))) Re-working of Celtic Frost’s “Dethroned Emperor” then blasts off into an insane torrent of drumming that eventually shifts to doom (!) at 4:27.
((((((5)))))) Bells of doom, bangin’ riffs, clangin’ cymbals. Interesting break of piano and acoustic guitars over mid-paced Black Metal.
((((((6)))))) Solid mix of the really heavy, epic parts and acoustic interludes. Great riffing/solos. Fuckin’ ace scream at 5:42.
((((((((7)))))))) Doomy, epic & riffy as fuck. Wild tempo changes. Invites you to taste from the cauldron of black bile made from the guts of Bin Laden & Christ.
