dream pop/shoegaze/modern rock
anglophile rock band. the vox=too much like echo; gits=you've heard it before -many times(but the gits are great!). songs sound the same (good? bad? =debatable) this band is big fans of anything british, 81-91. =nothing new, but enjoyable.
RIYL: echo&bunnyfolken, psych furs, cure, joydiv, jesus&marychain, simple minds, 80's brit mod rock, et al.
FCC CLEAN
SUGGESTIONS: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12.
*1. NEXT BEST TRACK: instrumental. pretty, simple, minimal. fem gregorian chant. good for any bladerunnercore interlude.
*2. very britty 80's modern rock. it's nice.
*3. cool git=dark distort. violins come in. poppy.
*4. drony distorty. moving, 60's tinge.
5. dark, jangle pop. it's nice.
*6. BEST TRACK: wind sound, moment of silence, jangles, heavy, dark processed sound, almost jesus&mary.
7. swarmy gitscape. psych furs.
*8. motorcycle zooms by. 70's/80's post punk.
*9. darker...xymox. cool searing. piano -i like piano!- last min.
10. spoken intro. surfy side of j&mc. horns are prominent.
11. jet engine sound-sud end-mopey, key heavy, jangle. pulp.
*12. NEXT TO NEXT BEST TRACK:piano -i like piano!- &fingersnap start. sweet. blur/pulp. (about 2 mins to end, vox gets softer&loses volume. i suggest fade out at this point. the rest just doesn't work for the song as whole.)
