Artist: The Peelies and Jesuslesfilles Album: Peelies and Jesuslesfilles
Reviewed 6/12'12 by Rex
Genre: psychedelic, punk, garage, grunge?
In summary: The Peelies are an all girl band who are also really nice (kinda Patti Smith vocal). Fuzzzzy garage goodness. Jesuslesfilles are a French Canadian band with male and female duo vocals and a lot of fuzziness. They're pretty damn good.
RIYL: Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Underground Youth, Built to Spill
FCC clean
*1. (2.11)- a lot of fuzziness, nice female vocals (kinda Patti Smith?)
2. (3.26)- upbeat, rowdy, rebellious, repetitive lyrics
3. (3.04)- druggy, reckless, aggressive, more choatic
*4. (3.32)- messy, feel like you’re sitting down there watching their show at CBGB, acid/psychedelic
5. (2.25)- male and female duo vocals, nihilistic, volatile feeling, paranoid
6. (2.02)- dizzy, droning vocals
7. (1.56)- creates a sound that was both fiery and melodic, manic, grotesque
8. (3.29)- nice reminiscent intro, childish vocals, childhood memory, playing on the swing, nice guitar melody
