Synth-driven pop, spacey stuff with a homemade sound. Dreamy, heavy reverb and spacey effects add up to a kind of lo-fi glam. Maybe there's a tiny bit of goth in there, too.
Medium tempos build a dreamy and relatively laid-back vibe, but it's certainly not "ambient," more like a prettier version of The Residents.
Lots of instrumentals (1,3,7,9,10,11). The songs have breathy vocals thick with reverb and overdubs, making the lyrics tough to discern. Only the lyrics to the title track are printed out; they're abstract and dreamlike.
1- Squelchy beat, kind of tiki-loungey
2- Bouncy, a bit of '50s "Asian" sounding retro
3- Chiming notes over a gloopy, simple beat. Quite Residents-like.
4- Kind of an exotic beat and sound. Odd verses and a catchy chorus.
5- Weird and mellow. Lots of out-there sounds. Strummed guitar
6- Sparkly, shimmering song. Dreamy.
7- Stern industrial attitude
8- Some psych guitar, feels like a low-key jam session
9- Energetic, driven
10- More psych touches: bass melody and, later, synth-horn lines. Odd synth sounds make up the beat.
11- Pretty and dreamy, a long, episodic instrumental with "obvious" major-chord formations on keyboard and, later, some airy wordless vocals.
