Herva: Instant Broadcast Label: Delsin
This is an innovative electronica album by Herva. Most tracks are not necessarily dance tracks but they are certainly unusual and feature wild & weird experimentation. The most danceable tracks, "Slam the Laptop" (#2) and "Jingle Memo Jingle" (#4) are incredible. But the non-dance-y tracks are memorable on their own, because Herva's techno sensiblities make them very interesting. Try: 1,2,4,5,10,12.
1. And The Crunch Goes On (6:41) Noisy start, then chaotic & abstract broken-beats featuring a catchy piano loop. Wow, what an intro.
2. Slam The Laptop (4:47) Slammin' tech-house banger. Grinding bass, thumpin' beats, manic vocal samples. The most danceable track here.
3. Pitch Business (3:28) Static & noisy explosions, chaotic & mad
4. Jingle Memo Jingle (4:56) Techy swirls going crazy over this choppy beat. Bumpin!
5. Spotlight (5:08) Wow. Chill synths & noisy noodling, like a symphony of electronic birds hanving a summer picnic at a pond.
6. No Way Out (4:07) Intense & trippy techno but has a kooky edge.
7. Jointless (4:16) Crunching distorted beats, fast tempo that's hard & intense.
8. Until.. (4:28) Dramatic tech-house w/ edgy synths & chirpy effects & glassy tones.
9. 01 (Edit) (4:42) Layered synth symphony w/ occasional crashing beats & percussion
10. Holidays (4:33) Crashing cymbals, dubby bass, manic Caribbean steel-drum sounds
11. Warm Bodies (3:27) Layered synths & shimmering glass tones, deep rolling bass
12. Useless Stop Motion (3:09) Starts w/ one big distorted beat. Wacky cut-up vox sample & abstract noodling.
