Album Review
Craig Matsumoto
Reviewed 2003-08-21
Free improv, mostly sax, piano and bass with occasional sci-fi synths.
Features the recently deceased Peter Kowald, whose athleticism on bass is a particular treat. He takes some great swooping turns on bass, stealing thunder from the louder pianos (6,7,15).

2- Squelchy metallic sounds, overall slow and sparse. Sax feels out of place
3*- Vicious, fast piano+bass
4- Long sax tones over screechy bass, a weird ambiance
5- Fast rambling piano & sax
7*- Rapid chaotic classical feel, w/screechy bowed bass
8- Sax babbling fast over quiet washes
10*- Synth heavy, w/propulsive sax & piano
11- Lingering quiet
12- Spattery, ugly vocal noises
13- Fast-tossed piano w/synth and sax
14- Near-silent.
15*- Piano-bass attack
16- Sparse but not quiet, w/sci-fi gloopy sounds
17- Long, low, atmospheric
18- Ambient abstract sounds
